Frequently Asked Questions about Inspired Lifestyle
Question: What is your religious affiliation?
Response: None. We are not connected to nor do we preach the teachings
of any specific religious or sectarian organization. We do incorporate
insights, principles and concepts that resonate with the tone of living
a heart-based, mindful, self-empowered life, drawing from a wide range
of teachers, philosophies and methodologies.
Question: Where do you get the content for your web site?
Response: Some of it is written by Carol
James. We have a few people
who regularly contribute their articles, stories and poems. Other content
is picked up via chat lists or people who submit content to the site,
which we believe to be of public domain. Every effort is made to identify
the original author and to acknowledge that author appropriately. When
this is not possible, "author unknown" is noted. We only claim
copyright for works written by Carol James. If you find something here
that is misquoted or attributed to the wrong author, or if you are an
author or interested party of any of the written works displayed on this
site and wish for it to be attributed appropriately or removed, please
notify the webmaster and it will be taken care of promptly.
Question: Can anyone submit content to this site?
Response: Yes, but not all content will be used. We do pick and choose,
desiring to regulate the tone of this site. If content has a religious,
disempowering or negative tone, it is not used.
Question: What factors do you use when choosing content for the site?
Response: The most important factor in choosing content for this site
is that it resonates with the tone of this site.
Question: What is the tone of this site?
Response: The tone of this site is influenced by ideas and concepts
about heart-based living, joy and freedom, respect and dignity, compassion
and understanding, mindfulness, self-responsibility, taking action from
a point of inspiration, being self-empowered, doing more of what one
loves, expressing one's full human potential, living and enjoying life
to the fullest and becoming and having all that one dreams of becoming
and having.
Question: Who moderates or chooses content for this site?
Response: Carol James does. She is the founder of InspiredLiving.com
and the creator and developer of this site.
Question: Do I have to give up or change my present beliefs?
Response: No. Our work is not about getting you to change the beliefs
that you currently hold, but rather to get you to choose for yourself
whether the beliefs that you hold still resonate with who you are or
who you want to be. If they do, we encourage you to keep them. If they
don't, we encourage you to find out why you are still keeping them.
Question: What if I don't agree with or resonate with all the ideas
and concepts that you offer?
Response: No problem. Just choose what you resonate with and ignore
the rest. The whole point of living an inspired life is to choose all
that feels good and right to you and to leave the other stuff alone. Who
knows, perhaps later on you may view some of your rejected ideas with
a new perspective and suddenly find them appealing. Haven't you ever
changed your mind about something you previously hated (eating spinach,
which I hated as a child and now enjoy, comes to mind for me). Or perhaps
you will never embrace some of these ideas. It doesn't matter to us. It
only matters that you learn to choose for yourself.
