Air Oasis Smoke Eliminator Comparisons

Air Oasis Air Purifiers

Smoke Eliminators

Effectiveness

Air Oasis' friendly oxidizers and negative ions can remove nearly all pollutants and odors from the air, regardless of how small the particulate matter is, even the microscopic particles that comprise cigarette smoke. Plus, they destroy viruses, bacteria, mold, mildew, volatile organic compounds, dust mites, chemicals and more, so your employees and customers breathe cleaner, healthier air. Most smoke eliminators rely on filters to capture cigarette/cigar smoke, but even the best filters can only capture a very small percentage of the smoke in the air. Plus, smoke eliminators only treat the air that passes through their filters. Also, smoke eliminators only get rid of particulate, not smoke or other odors, chemicals, gases, fumes, viruses, mold, bacteria or other harmful air or surface contaminants.

Size

Air Oasis' are less than 6 pounds and can be mounted on the wall. Smoke eliminators are typically quite large and cumbersome, making it difficult to move them around.

Noise

Air Oasis' Air Purifiers only use the best fans that are of the highest quality and operate silently. These air purifiers don't need lots of fan power because instead of dragging the entire room into the unit, the unit sends out oxidizers that travel via natural air flow to clean the air. Smoke eliminators normally have motors in them in an attempt to draw more air through their filters -- in this technology, the effectiveness depends on sucking the entire room's air into the unit. Unfortunately, these motors can be very loud.

Maintenance and Replacement Costs

With the Air Oasis Air Purifier, replace the AHPCO Cell once every 25,000 hours (roughly every 3 years). Smoke eliminators are very maintenance intensive. They need to be cleaned frequently. Worse than that though, their filters need to be replaced every few months or so, and they can run a couple hundred dollars or so for a whole set.

Electricity Consumption

All Air Oasis units feature high efficiency UV bulbs that have an energy consumption of less than a 100 watt light bulb. Smoke eliminators are very expensive to operate. They typically add a couple hundred dollars a year, at the very least, to your electricity bill.
