AP-I600 has a large 3" HEPA filter specifically designed for powerful particle filtration (dust, pollen, dust mites, dander, mold spores, fibers, droplets, etc.). This is a very popular model for heathcare offices, clinics and hospitals.
To further eliminate the possibility of chemical off-gassing from treated HEPA filters, upgrade to a 3" Metal Capped HEPA for an additional $70.

The prefilter traps larger particles and can be vacuumed from the outside of the unit. It should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
