This sport bottle is made from a much higher quality and more durable plastic -- low-density polyethylene (labeled recycling #4). The filter will treat up to 80 gallons of water (roughly 3 months of use under normal conditions). The filter removes chlorine, bad taste and odor, as well as significant proportions of heavy metals, including aluminum, asbestos, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury and more.
Simply fill the bottle with water and drink; the water is filtered as you drink!!
A level 2 filter is a carbon composite filter that removes 90% of the chlorine and aids in the removal of heavy metals at a flow rate of 10ml per second. It treats up to 80 gallons of water and lasts approximately 3 months under normal conditions. There is no sport bottle filter available to the consumer that out-performs this filter.
NOTE: This bottle is made from #4 LDPE (low density polyethylene). The FDA has no warnings about this type of plastic.
