What Type Of Water Filter Removes Arsenic From Tap Water?
CuZn uses a KDF 85 water filter to filter out Arsenic. Also, KDF 85 Process Media can remove up to 99% of water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium and other dissolved metals. All KDF Process Media forms are effective in controlling the buildup of bacteria, algae, fungi and scale, making them ideal for use in GAC beds, ion exchange resins, carbon block filters and inline carbon filters. KDF 85 filters remove up to 50 ppm of Arsenic from the water before needing to be replaced (roughly 2,000 gallons).
But CuZn water filtration products don't stop there. The second cartridge includes the patented KDF 55 filter, which meets NSF standards 42 and 61, and coconut shell carbon. The results is a water filter that removes more than 600 contaminants from water, including chlorine, lead, heavy metals, trihalomethanes (THMs), herbicides and pesticides much the same as Nature uses the earth and its minerals to cleanse water. (Unlike carbon-only filters, bacteria can't grow inside the bacteriostatic CuZn filters!)
