Mold Remediation Tips
Mold Testing
If it´s red, run!
If you see red mold (Legionella), leave the area immediately. Red
mold is very dangerous.
Mold loves pools
of water. Gutters that deposit rain water close to the house create
a breeding ground for mold. The solution is to route the gutter away
from the house with gutter extensions for proper drainage.
Mold loves standing
water. Standing water is a breeding ground for mold, so check
your house for water leaks in these areas: under the kitchen and
bathroom sinks, under the refrigerator and dishwasher, around a
toilet, bathtub, shower and how water tank and around washer hoses.
Using your nose
to detect mold. If you smell a musty, moldy smell in your house,
it most likely means that mold it growing somewhere.
