Anyone concerned with good health and oral hygiene should invest in
the VioLight toothbrush sanitization system, as it has been proven to
help reduce the spread of germs that can cause sickness (i.e., e coli,
botulism, salmonella, etc.). It is ideal for family health, holds up
to four toothbrushes (child- and adult-sized) and can even accommodate
electric toothbrushes.
2. How does VioLight work and how effective
is it?
VioLight uses the same germ-fighting technology found in hospital and
dental offices — germicidal UV lightbulb power — to prevent the spread
of harmful bacteria. Clinical studies confirm that the VioLight eliminates
up to 99.9% of bacteria within a 10-minute time frame.
Yes, the VioLight can accommodate most electric toothbrush heads. Some
heads may require the use of the special VIOpegs to hold the smaller
electric toothbrush handle. Four VIOpegs are included with every VioLight
Toothbrush Sanitizer. The VIOpegs are easily inserted into the slots
on your VioLight that hold the electric toothbrush heads.
4. Is the VioLight battery operated or does
it use a plug?
The Violight sanitization device is powered by standard household electricity.
It draws very low current (9 watt) through a removable, six-foot wall
plug.
The Violight Toothbrush Sanitizer operates on 120V current only. The
adapter fits standard USA-type wall sockets only.
6. How do I know the VioLight really kills
germs on my toothbrush?
All VioLight products are tested extensively by independent laboratories
to insure that 99.9% of germs and bacteria will be killed.
7. Will I have to spend more time caring for
my teeth using VioLight?
No more time is spent brushing teeth when using the VioLight. To use
the VioLight toothbrush sanitizing system, all you have to do is brush,
rinse, store and — with the push of a button — the sanitization process
begins. When toothbrush sanitization is complete, VioLight automatically
shuts itself off in 10 minutes.
Each VioLight unit is the size of an average cup, with skid-proof bottoms
and a frosted top that glows with a blue/violet hue when the system is
in use. Since VioLight is also a storage facility for your toothbrush,
you can simply use it to replace your current holder.
For the countertop unit, we recommend changing your UV bulb every 18
months. Even though the bulb is rated at 2,000 hours, which would give
you many years of regular use, changing the bulb every 18 months will
ensure that your bulb is providing maximum germ-fighting efficiency. Click
here for instructions about how to check your UV bulb. The
UV bulb on all other models lasts 6,000 hours.
