(Orange Blossom) essential oil is one of the most expensive of all oils,
which makes its hydrosol an affordable alternative. Abbey St. Clare Neroli
hydrosol is an antibacterial and anti-fungal astringent that makes a
wonderful treatment for sensitive, delicate or oily skin to reduce irritation
and clear acne. It is such a good astringent that one should avoid use
directly on very dry skin, or use it in combination with lavender, rose
or geranium.
Here are some anedotal reports for various uses of Neroli hydrosol:
Abbey St. Clare Neroli hydrosol is mildly sedative to the central nervous system without causing sleepiness, and can quiet caffeine jitters. Many find it useful as an antispasmodic. Neroli, along with rose, is one of the healing waters that is often used as a natural perfume as it will not aggravate those who are scent sensitive.
Neroli can be used for internal application:
IMPORTANT NOTE: As an extra precaution, we suggest you sterilize any hydrosol before taking internally. Slowly heat to a low boil for a few minutes to obtain sterility without destroying the actives within the distillate.
