What started as cleansing oil has turned into an amazing treatment for face, neck, hair and skin anywhere on the body.
Abbey St. Clare Rice and Olive Cleanser and Facial Serum is an exceptional mixture of botanical oils that provides cleaning and nourishing skin care actives to leave your skin clean, soft and renewed. Antioxidant rich purifying botanical oils include Rice Bran, Olive and Marula that removes the heaviest makeup even theatrical makeup and waterproof mascara -- dirt, and excess oils and then rinses clean without leaving a greasy residue. Yet it is gentle enough and nourishing for all skin types, including dry, sensitive, fragile and mature skin.
Rice and Olive Cleanser and Facial Serum is the perfect choice for sensitive, dry, mature or delicate skin, yet useful for all skin types at any age. But this formulation does double duty: Rice and Olive Cleanser is, also, an antioxidant rich serum that makes an excellent post cleansing treatment for dry skin and wrinkles. It is quickly absorbed into the skin, making wrinkles disappear. Most of you will even find it gentle enough for the area around the eyes, but always test a small area first for sensitivity.
Apply Rice and Olive Cleanser and Facial Serum generously to face and neck after cleansing and toning and let it perform its magic overnight. Customers have reported that it helps scaly skin on the arms, itchy patches on the elbows and rough hands. High in essential fatty acids, which defend against infection and inflammation, this skin oil is the cleanser of choice for those with eczema or psoriasis. It will leave your skin feeling fresh, soft and conditioned.
It can even be massaged into the scalp to promote healthy hair and relief from dandruff, providing sheen and moisture without weighing hair down.
Here are some of the botanical oils included in this serum:
Olive Oil has been used for centuries; women in ancient Greece knew it was the secret to beautiful skin. Olive oil has traditionally been used to treat dermatitis, psoriasis, burns, Rosacea and xerosis (abnormal dryness). Olive oil contains a significant amount of polyphenols which provide its antioxidant effects and contribute to its anti-inflammatory functions.
Marula Oil is a gift from Africa, rich in antioxidants, Vitamins E and C and palmitic and oleic acid. It softens skin and leaves a protective layer on its surface to prevent water loss. Marula oil is quickly absorbed, and it hydrates skin, reduces redness and heals tissue.
Rosehip Seed Oil is high in Vitamins C and A, which stimulate regeneration of cells and promotes an increase in levels of collagen and elastin, thus delaying the effects of aging. Rosehip Seed Oil is routinely used to diminish scars from acne, burns or surgery.
Rice Bran Oil is one of the best sources of Vitamin E tocotrienol, an antioxidant many times more powerful and effective than Vitamin E tocopherol. Rice bran oil is extremely gentle, and it penetrates the skin easily for deep cleaning, while providing softening and moisturizing properties.
Rich bran oil is rich in Vitamin E tocopherols, being one of the richest sources of the Vitamin E tocotrienols, an antioxidant 40-50 times more powerful than tocopherols in repairing skin damage. It is, also, rich in phytic and ferulic acids, which promote gentle exfoliation while helping balance melanin production. And it contains gamma oryzanol, which intercepts ultraviolet rays at the skin surface and hinders their transmission, a property useful in sunscreen preparations. It impedes the progress of melanin pigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for darkening the skin, and helps protect skin lipids from oxidation to prevent freckles, age spots and discoloration. Rice Bran Oil also contains proanthrocyanidins, strong antioxidants that protect collagen and elastin throughout our bodies but especially in our skin.
Use once or twice daily. Moisten face with water. Massage serum in a circular motion over a closed eye, using a soft touch. The oil will swiftly melt away eye shadow and mascara. Use a moistened face cloth or cotton pad to gently wipe eye area clean. Repeat if necessary.
Massage a liberal amount into the rest of your face and neck using gentle circular motions for sixty seconds to provide deep cleansing action. Remove thoroughly with a wet facecloth. Follow with a toner and treatments.
Anti-aging oils are excellent as a facial oil after cleansing for dry or sun damaged skin or wrinkles. Apply liberally to face and neck after using toner. Apply additional treatment cream if desired. Let the actives absorb into the skin overnight.
This also makes a very effective facial massage oil
